The moment the entire Nigerian otaku community has been waiting for has finally arrived. We are thrilled to announce that we are kickstarting the Anime Nigeria Anime Challenge (ANAC) this week.
If you have been looking for the perfect opportunity to showcase your creativity, prove your anime passion, and connect with fellow fans across the country, this is your moment to shine. ANAC is designed to bring out the competitive and creative spirit within our community.
What exactly is ANAC?
For the newbies, Anime Nigeria Anime Challenge (ANAC) is a community event where anime fans get the opportunity to show off their creativity in accordance with the ANAC edition. ANAC is not just a single competition, it is a recurring celebration of anime fans and their creativity.
Depending on what the community votes for and the Student Council approves, a challenge can take different forms. We cover everything from voice acting and fanart, to AMV editing, cosplays, and writing. It is a rare opportunity to see the incredible talent that exists within the Nigerian anime space.
How to Participate in ANAC
We believe that the best community events are the ones built by the community itself. That is why we don not choose the challenge behind closed doors. Instead, we consult with the community to see what members are interested in and how to form a challenge around it.
We will be holding a community consensus meeting at 8:00 PM on the 23rd of June, 2026, on the Anime Challenge group, to decide what type of challenge we should start with.
To participate and drop your own suggestions, you need to join the official Anime Challenge Group before 8:00 PM on Tuesday so you do not miss a single second of the conversation.
